Located at Fraser & Kingsway, we provide 100% gluten free delights for celiac, gluten sensitive, and health conscious clientele.
At The Gluten Free Epicurean all baking is done by hand and fresh daily in a 100% gluten free environment. We are a small boutique bakery pumping out many different items so understand that these things take time to make fresh for you. Donuts, pizzas and sandwiches cannot be expected to be available before 11am.
Each item is made with it's own special flour mix, using organic brown rice flour as the main flour. We have something for everyone! We have a wide variety of sweet and savoury options with dairy free, nut free, refined sugar free, grain free, paleo and vegan options. Everything is always gluten free and soy free (except the chocolate chips and sprinkles as they contain soy lecithin). We have smoothies, 4 kinds of pizza (veggie, meat, dairy-free meat and vegan) and sandwiches daily (vegan and meat).
Ordering in advance is highly recommended. All cake orders must be ordered 24 hours ahead and we stop taking orders when we have hit our limits. We do not take cake orders via email. We have many items available daily but we do sell out some times so if you have a craving please call the store and we will put things on hold for you to avoid disappointment.
Interested in baking classes? Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org Baking classes are starting up in mid September, Monday evenings. Classes are single-session and last 1.5-2.5 hours. Classes are hands on and are maximum 8 people with a limit of 4 purchases per person. Private classes are available but are limited. Classes are taught by Delainy, founder/owner/operator of THE GLUTEN FREE EPICUREAN and/or head baker. Classes are non refundable. They can be transferred to another day or another person with 48 hours notice. Only one transfer per person.

We use nuts, eggs and dairy in our facility, though we are careful we cannot guarantee that there will not be cross contamination. Please tell our staff what you are sensitive/allergic to and we will guide you through the menu. We do not recommend eating here if you have severe allergies to eggs, dairy or nuts.

This class teaches you the simplicity of baking a fresh loaf of sandwich bread and baguette using our recipe. With this hands on class you will leave with a loaf of fresh bread that you baked, a baguette and the knowledge and recipe to recreate at home! $175 2 hours
Get ready! We are sharing some secrets. This class is based on our vegan chocolate cake recipe. We will show you how to create brownies, cupcakes for you to decorate and bake donuts with some tips on how to get that bakery style donut. You will leave with some goodies, a recipe and feeling ready to bake some sweet treats for your loved ones. $175 2 hours
